Johnston McCulley Zorro and More From Bold Venture

Johnston McCulley Zorro and other Pulp Stories

The 100th Birthday of ZORRO, but don't forget the other work of author Johnston McCulley. McCulley certainly created many other interesting characters like The Black Star, a criminal mastermind, and The Spider. McCulley's spider was, very much UNlike today's spidery agile super hero. McCulley's spider person was wheel-chair confined and used mental abilities to run an international crime ring. Then, of course there were colorful characters like The Crimson Clown, The Green Ghost,The Thunderbolt, and Thubway Tham. And the author turned out a number of tales with changing characters, set in Old California -- Alta California -- when it was owned by the Mexican government -- The Tales of Zorro's Old California. Watch boldventurepress.com  for reprints of more of McCulley's fine works.
